Age + BirthYear = 111

Two days ago, while CNY visiting, a relative asked me,
"What do you get when you add the last two digits of your birth-year and your current age ?"

My minds does the simple addition and before i could say it, she said, "111, right ?"

"Yeah."

"Why is it always 111 ?"

At that moment after a full lunch,my brains were no match for my stomach.
My mind froze and i promised i would get back to her on this.
No self-respecting Maths 'cher will let this puzzle go unsolved.

So, yesterday, i posted the following solution to her:

btw, it only works for those of us born in 19xx.

Happy Chinese New Year

i'm off... hopping off... hopping away to find my own burrow !

It's a new year, new resolutions to fulfill.
Old chapter to close and new chapters to begin.

one year since my last post... one month more to my last day.

The smiling kangaroo hasn't been smiling for a long time.
Instead, she's been sleeping poorly and having a headache most of the time.
It's hard to teach and be an active teacher in this condition.
Taking medications help only for those few hours, but cause more long term problems and reliance.
So, the most logical thing to do: quit teaching in a public school.

Because i like teaching and i enjoy working out maths, i WILL BE BACK !
Perhaps not in a public school.
More likely my own business?
For now, i'll just finish my term of service and take a long break to catch up with loved ones.

There is a time for everything.
